Eff the Weather...Let's Make Sunshine Together!
May 1st. Celebrated as May Day in some parts of the world; an annual tribute to Spring and the promise it brings. Somewhat ironically, May Day is also an international distress call (from the French 'M'Aidez'). Given the current flood in the backyard, perhaps the latter interpretation is the more appropriate this year anyway.
But we say 'Eff the Weather...life (and fun) are what you make of them.
There is a crack, a crack in everything,
That's how the light gets in.
- Leonard Cohen
Here at Wits End HQ we're trying really hard to let the light get in through great music. But we need you, the audience, to help hold the crack open.
Our next show promises to be a warm, intimate evening with three incredible singer-songwriters sharing insight into some of their songs. We called it Storytellers for good reason. Many years ago Rod Stewart famously sang Every Picture Tells a Story (don't it?). I would add that every great song paints a picture and these three paint vivid images with their words. Who are they?
They are Regina's Belle Plaine and Winnipeg's Scott Nolan and Orit Shimoni. In the next couple of weeks we'll be publishing 'Spotlight On...' articles on each of them.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through The Park Theatre's Eventbrite site or by RSVP'ing and etransfer directly to ian.mattey@gmail.com (saves you the Eventbrite fees).
We'd love to see you at the show!
